What The Bike Bandit Says…

“I have only biked Watermans Trail a few times. It is a real ball buster and a great place to suffer a sidewall tear from the razor sharp rocks.”

TUCSON, Arizona – Mountain Biking – The Watermans Trail is a part of The Ironwood National Monument. This is definitely a cool weather ride. It is around 12 miles if you decide on doing the climb up Waterman Mountain and 10 miles or so if you bypass that brutal effort. Mostly jeep road, some single track that is hard to follow – and lots of rocks. Go check the profile below to see just how hard the climb up to the summit is.

Mountain Biking Down Watermans Trail

Mountain biking down Watermans Trail is challenging.. The views from this area are terrific as long as you don’t mind slogging up a jeep road. Some of the vegetation in this area is on the endangered species list (Turks Head Cactus). The rocks on some of the ridges are razor sharp so be careful of sidewall tears.
